To prove what kind of person, - what kind of spirit you REALLY are.
To prove whether your professed love for GOD and Truth and others
is real, ... or just a lot of pretense, posturing, & religious-sham.

A BRIEF SUMMARY OF OUR MINISTRY
Here In Cebu and the Philippines:

For about the first five years of our missionary work here we preached regularly at different churches and helped pioneering pastors with church-planting and outreaches. We were used to minister even at Bible Colleges in the Cebu area. Also, our aim was to bring unity to these pioneering pastors and denominations through regular prayer meetings and seminars. We had great struggles with that project because of competitive attitudes and other things that tended to work against it. We know, however, that God used this effort and many souls were saved and baptized.
God then led us to start our own work. We started Bible studies and children's ministries in the north city reclamation area and the squatter communities among the urban very poor. It wasn't long before we were having a lot of souls come to hear the word of God, and persecution also flared up from certain sectors, but God defended us and our fellowship soon became established as The Jesus Praise and WORSHIP Center. At this location in Caretta brgy, a negative leper village, we had a regular Sunday service and prayer meetings and Bible studies and discipleship for adults throughout the week. We also established one of the largest children's ministries and feeding programs in Cebu. That ministry continued for over twelve years before the Holy Spirit led us out of that area of ministry as, GOD required us to move on to something else.

When you work with the poor [and especially the very poor and the under-employed here], whether they are pastors or people, the problems we have often have had stemmed from people looking at us for dollars or financial help. It's really been a big problem because if you see your brother or sister in need without food you are compelled by scripture to give, and that is only right, but many tended to take advantage and have wrong motives in their relationships. The battles were great but God gave us grace until He made it clear He wanted us to move on.
After leaving that work, (and Lynne just recovering from a badly broken leg), we started having Bible studies with college students from the University of Cebu and also with young working adults.
That was a blessed time of fellowship with young adults and winning new souls to Christ. We had meetings six days a week in our small home and they would start coming at 10 a.m. and the last ones would leave at 10 p.m or later. It was a challenge but there were about 80 regular young adults that were involved. Many were baptized by us and started to go to different churches in their respective places as they went home from school.

Also, back in the 1990's we discovered that we could not find Bible tracts in the Cebuano language, so we started writing and printing them and giving them out to ministries for free. One of our biggest ministries all these years has been our tract ministry. We print many tens of thousands in English and Cebuano, tracts and booklets and always give them out for free. Sometimes OMF and PCBS and the Bible society, Christian book outlets in the area, distribute our tracts and also sent them to many places in the Philippines. We also distribute the Jesus film and other evangelistic DVD'S for free. Pastors have told us that the tracts really helped to build their churches. We are also very much involved in personal evangelism and tract distribution.

Len & I have ministered to the upper class here with evangelism and Bible studies especially to the Chinese community. We are strongly oriented to evangelism and discipleship and personal ministry. God has certainly been good to us. Through many, many battles He has proven Himself to be completely faithful.

~ An Additional BRIEF SUMMARY & Overview
of Our MINISTRY HERE IN CEBU ~

* Clearlight Ministries is a nondenominational missionary outreach to the local churches and the unreached and unsaved in the Philippines. We work mostly with local churches and hold weekly Bible studies in various venues within the city. These Bible studies are designed to help each person come to a clear knowledge and understanding of salvation and discipleship: What it means to be a victorious Christian.

* Part of our ministry is writing, printing, and distributing Gospel literature and teaching materials in both English and Cebuano. We provide these tracts, pamphlets, and booklets FREE OF CHARGE to all local churches, individuals and interested ministries.

* We have conducted numerous feeding-programs for the indigenous poor, mostly in the squatter areas of Caretta, North Reclamation Area, Cebu City. This includes child-evangelism and Bible-studies for the families of the children.

* We have provided a TV, VCR, cabinet, and videos to the government hospitals here in Cebu [Cebu City Medical Center and Southern Island Hospital]. This is for the use of all local churches and the hospital chaplains which have an outreach to the poor and needy in these hospitals.

* We also distribute for free certain DVD's that emphasis the need for REVIVAL in the local churches. Particularly the public domain DVD titled, "THE REVIVAL HYMN," which is a compilation of the best prophetic voices from the 20th Century on the need and necessity of TRUE REVIVAL in communities and churches. The other main DVD’s we distribute include THE JESUS FILM [from the Genesis Project, Campus Crusade], GOD of Wonders, and Countdown to Eternity.

* We also minister and preach from time to time at various local churches within Cebu Province. Mostly we are here to assist and support the Gospel churches within the Central Philippine islands, including house churches and home-church fellowships.

* The other aspect of our ministry and calling is MUCH PRAYER and INTERCESSION for Cebu, the Philippines, America, Israel, and the nations. We consider it our solemn duty and calling to lift these and many other needs to The Throne of Grace. NOTHING of value happens unless it is truly bathed IN PRAYER before GOD.

· This ministry is supported solely by freewill love-offerings from the Body of Christ. May GOD bring a double blessing into the life of every soul that helps in any way. GOD bless you all.

True humility is hard to find, but it takes true humility and honesty to be a benefactor of God’s glorious grace. A proud person can neither receive God’s grace nor give grace to others because they think too highly of themselves.

There is a story in the Bible about two men. (it is a parable found in Luke 18:9-14) One man was a very religious man, and the other was a very sinful man. They both went to pray in the Temple of God. The religious man sat near the front of the Temple by the altar and declared his righteousness. He thanked God that he was not a sinner like the man who sat in the back of the Temple. The sinner man sitting on the back pew was crying out to God and even beating his chest as he openly acknowledged his wretched sinful state. The Bible said that it was the repentant and humble sinner that received God’s grace and forgiveness while the religious man stayed in his proud and sinful condition.

I find that people today may confess to some sin or another, but don’t like to think of themselves as wretched sinners. Or (just as bad) they may compare themselves to others thinking that "some people are certainly much worse than I am."(!) They don’t understand that God will compare each us to His holy standards, not the standards of others or of the world! The great apostle Paul understood this and said of himself in Romans 7:24 “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” He was confessing his completely bankrupt spiritual condition insofar as his own "righteousness." Now Paul was a zealous, upright, religious man, but he had a true vision of Jesus and came to understand and fully acknowledged his evil, sinful, depraved and fallen condition before GOD and then abandoned himself to Jesus by faith and confessed next in verse 25: "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord." Why? Because Paul knew very well that "he was crucified (in his fleshly, carnal sinful nature) WITH CHRIST," and that it was no longer Paul who was living the Christian life, BUT CHRIST BY HIS SPIRIT thru Paul, by faith and trust and surrender to Jesus as Lord. (!)

So what will you do, my friend? Will you try to turn over a new leaf? Will you just try to give up a vice or two? Or will you humble yourself and acknowledge your very fallen, sinful condition, calling on Jesus to change and forgive you. My friend, that’s the only way to be saved from your sins and the eternal death penalty that they will bring upon you, i.e./ hell and (eventually) the second death, which is the lake of fire.

You can be sure that the proud can’t get to heaven or into GOD's Kingdom. They may try their best to climb the religious ladder of good works but will be surprised to find themselves in the fires of hell along with the rest of the deceived and the hypocrites. It was pride that ruined Lucifer, who became Satan, the liar and arch-enemy of God. Will you follow him? or will you humbly follow the Lamb of God and climb Calvary’s hill to put your pride to death on the Cross?

Humble yourself and acknowledge your need and call on THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to be forgiven and changed from within. He will hear and answer that sincere prayer, and then His grace and forgiveness will be yours.

The following list of sins & offenses against GOD was given to me between 3AM and 6AM *on the very morning that the 9.0 earthquake disaster hit Japan.* - it was given to me BY THE HOLY SPIRIT hours before I had heard of this great calamity hitting and decimating the world's third largest economy . . . a country that for many years has been second ONLY to the United States in economic power.

~PLEASE NOTICE: since 2011 began: HUGE, MAJOR earthquakes in ~ Haiti ~ CHRISTCHURCH, NZ. ~ Japan ~ and other nations, along with other major disasters.

What follows is: THE LIST of major hinderances to revival, ... and the open doors to deception in the churches...

Please consider this list carefully and prayerfully . . . The following is a List of sins & deceptions in the churches that I have composed over a period of many years of observation and prayer. it is not exhaustive, but it definitely touches on THE MAIN ISSUES that need to be prayed over and brought before GOD for repentance. REPENTANCE is The Key to Revival and Restoration, ... it always has been. ... Please examine this List carefully, ... and then PRAY over it. ... it is not "negative" ... it is REALITY.

FOR WORLDWIDE CONSIDERATION & PRAYER, ... but especially here in Cebu and the Philippines. ... A REALITY CHECK:

THE LIST of all major hinderances to revival and restoration of GOD's blessing and Presence in the churches. This is a list of the major areas of deception and open doors to further deception in the churches ... both in Cebu and other parts of the world . . .

1) The compromises of a false-unity called "organizational ecumenicalism." This includes official and unofficial linkages with the Roman church and other churches with serious errors in their traditions, and dogmas. - including various forms of idolatry. Please note that praying with and having *some* (unofficial) fellowship with Roman Catholics and other religions is fine. but to think or assume that they are "all Christians" who do not need the Gospel NOR to be delivered from false religion is A GRAVE ERROR and an open door to further deception. DO NOT link with apostate churches or organizations. - they are under judgment.

2) FLAGRANT idolatry, - both external and internal (of the heart) idols. too few have the courage to stand against it or expose it to the Light of the Word and Truth. Santa Nino. Mary-idolatry. prayers to Mary. "veneration" and "adoration of Mary. also: idolatry of: * the RCC religion & ministry. * the Pope. "the Magisterium". certain saints. priests. * "the Mass" and the veneration/adoration of "the host".

IDOLS of the heart in the churches: * ministry promotion & idolatry of ministry. * self-promotion. * empire building. denominational-ism. * idolatry of money, "success" and "prosperity". * the IDOL of Rock music. "christian rock" and many idols of "entertainment" and sports. "American Idol". * the IDOL of the family and family-name. idolizing children, ... and compromising because of their carnality and 'youthful lusts'. * "malling" - coveteousness ("which is idolatry"). consumerism. * idolatry of youth. * video games. ungodly dvds. movies. lust. violence. TV has literally become a cesspool of immorality. HBO. cable TV. ungodly "entertainments".

3) lust & worldliness in the churches. live-ins. adultery. fornication. gay-couplings. a serious lack of modesty. the ungodly 'fashions of the world' are seen everywhere in most churches. women dressing like only slightly modified street-walkers, exposing their bodies to incite & entice lust. lack of holiness. lack of conviction of sin. lack of repentance. hardness of heart. stubborness.

4) Generally, there is little preaching against sin. little or no mention or warning of hell for the lost and the hypocrites. "NOT EVERYONE who SAITH unto Me, 'Lord, Lord'..." ~ Luke 7:46; Matthew 7:21.

5) A general rejection of the prophetic voice calling for repentance and a return to "holiness unto the LORD". [google: Picture of a Prophet, Leonard Ravenhill]

6) A lack of proper balance between Grace/Love/Mercy, and Truth/Obedience. too much emphasis on grace tends to lead to permissiveness and "cheap grace." too much emphasis on truth and doctrine often leads to a form of legalism and pharisee-ism. Balance, via the Holy Spirit, is vital and important.

7) Noisy, carnal, worldly "rock praise" and carnal "performance-type" "worship" in the churches. - this grieves away the Holy Spirit. GOD MUST be worshiped IN SPIRIT and IN TRUTH. - and praise & worship leaders should be MATURE ELDERS, ... not simply "talented youth". "Spirit" means: by the Holy Spirit within; "in Truth" means the person is actually WALKING in Truth & Love.

* Because of these things listed here: MANY churches have "Ichabod" written at the doorways & over the sanctuary of their churches. - GOD is NOT honored there in REALITY & in holiness & truth.

8) A serious disregard FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD insofar as designated leadership. women 'pastors, elders & bishops' ordained and encouraged. - this is UNbiblical and AGAINST GOD's designated Government & roles for men & women. There is currently underway an inversion and perversion of GOD'S Divine Order & designated roles for men & women. ... and many churches are DEFINITELY a part of that inversion and perversion. rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. The twin satanic principalities of Jezebel/ahab are absolutely RAMPANT in the present-day culture & churches: worldwide. The usurping spirit of Jezebel is a MAJOR attempt at undermining GOD's Order and Kingdom. - it always brings chaos, conflict and deception. [google: "deceptions of Jezebel spirit"] - very few discern this evil and deception in the churches, ... even fewer are willing to deal with it and require these usurping spirits to cease undermining the Government of GOD.

9) the rampant evils of gossip, slander, judgmentalism, and backbiting. * 2 Timothy 3:1-5 *

10) jealousies. division-making spirits.

11) the conscious & subconscious desire to manipulate others for the purposes of "tithes" "offerings" and pastor or church income. BE AWARE: * "some were called, ... others called themselves." *

12) RIGHT HERE IS A SERIOUS LACKING AMONG MOST CHRISTIANS: MOST ARE NOT WALKING UNDER THE HEADSHIP OR LORDSHIP OF CHRIST. again: rebellion. stubborness. self-will. an unwillingness to be teachable OR discipled.

*** We must pray against these things. we must repent earnestly that any of this be not found in our own lives or in the churches and in the people of GOD. These are all to be purged and repented of and that there is a RETURN to righteousness & holiness ! *** *** 2 Chronicles 7:14 *** * we must ask GOD to expose & convict of these sins and to give us a weeping-spirit & soul over these many sins, compromises, and these REPROACHES to the Name of Jesus Christ & His Church.

13) Many watered-down "new bibles" and paraphrases that have (in many passages) seriously mistranslated the wording AND MEANING of the Word of GOD. There are many find and reasonably accurate Bible-translations, ... but "The Message Bible" and "The Living Bible" are NOT good or accurate translations or paraphrased-bibles. The best bible translations are the NKJV, the Amplified, the NLT, and the Revised Standard Version. The old King James Version is good for those who can comprehend this older and more poetic translation of the bible.

14) THE MERCHANDISING of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The merchandising of ministry and the people of GOD. "copyrighting" and selling for profit the Word of GOD, worship, and ministry of every kind, type & variety. "selling tickets" to worship GOD or teach or minister, ... for a price.

15) A serious lack of invoking THE PERSONAL NAME of the Lord Jesus Christ in prayers and in praise & worship. - His NAME is often seriously missing in many prayers and choruses and songs. - in many cases HIS NAME is deliberately substituted with mere "generic names" or titles like, "God" "Lord" "Christ" "in His name." etc. HIS NAME, btw: is the Lord Jesus Christ, ... or the Lord Yeshua Messiah. - THAT is His actual and personal Name above every name.

16) A general and serious lack of discipleship programs. a lack (generally) of full-Body ministry or participate and inter-action among brethren.

17) A lack of transparency, honesty, openness, and Agape Love relationships among Christians EVEN IN THE SAME CHURCH-fellowships ! ... "the love of many shall wax cold..." lukewarmness. A serious lack of community and fellowship in love & in the Spirit.

and finally:

18) A brief listing of general sins that MUST be repented of:

* exploitation & oppression of labor.
* mis-treatment of domestic helpers.
* REFUSAL to pay minimum wage. NOTE: "treat others as you would have them treat you". THE LAW: pay them a fair & decent, livable wage.
* lying. cheating. dishonesty.
* unforgiveness. offenses. betrayal. bitterness. bondage.
* a terrible spirit of betrayal and offense is now in many churches.
* lust. live-ins. fornication. adultery. "lust of the eyes".
* the sin of *prayerlessness*. lack of a devotional life. little or no desire to study & read the Word of GOD.
* worldliness: love of the world & love for the things of the world.
* a serious lack among many Christians of having any desire to be a witness or to share the Gospel with others via testimony, tracts, dvds, or outreaches.
* pride. lack of loving & open relationships. lack of trust. judgmentalism. slander. gossip. critical-spirit. - all these things need to be openly confessed & repented of. Note: "satan" means: "slander" "accuser" "persecuter". - no one is despised or accused or persecuted more than the prophetic voice that calls for repentance
